  • Strong character development? It's complicated
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes
at first I was like "eugh this will be copaganda won't it" AND THEN IT WAS REVERSE COPAGANDA!!!!!! 🎉🥳🎇🎊 like the protagonist's backstory is overcoming his past as a cop and the bad rep that cops have in the queer community and the guilt he feels about having been one.

I really like Andy, and I'm really enjoying these mysteries. The look into queer culture in the 1950s is really interesting and very compelling. Will definitely be reading the third one.

This book was so good. I really enjoyed the mystery and Evander discovering what makes him feel real. I can't wait to read book three this fall!
