Enjoyable but the illustrations really make it memorable

Now I honestly think I love this way more than the Harry Potter books. I was given an opportunity to love this one. I could see the characters and her writing style in my own point of view and I loved every bit of it.

Review

After finishing the movie scrapbook, I realized how much I was missing all the characters, so I decided to read the screenplay. This was not something I was sure I was actually going to do, but I needed more of the characters ASAP, so I opened this book. And, I really loved it.

I do have to say that the reason, I think, I enjoyed this so much was because I had already seen the movie and am anxiously awaiting the DVD release. Reading this was a great way to re-experience the magic. Because I had already seen the movie, I could clearly picture all the scenes, so, really, this was like watching the movie all over again, which was exactly what I needed. So, what I’m trying to say here is that, I feel, circumstance had a great deal to do with how much I enjoyed reading this screenplay.

Circumstance, however, did not affect how much I adored the illustrations.
They were so beautiful I can’t even put properly into words my love for them. They made reading the story so much more interesting in a way, because I was constantly looking forward to what beast was going to be re-imagined next. They were such a joy and oh so magical.

Another thing that I really liked about reading the screenplay was getting all the extra blocking and suggested emotion for the actors. Reading all of it actually helped me understand some of the scenes better and made me really see that emotion more in how each actor/ress portrayed their character. It also helped me notice more details about the many of the scenes, which I will be keeping in mind and my eyes open to when I watch the movie again.

Overall, I think I do recommend reading this screenplay, but I also recommend watching the movie first. This was a magical experience, and it helped me out of a reading slump. I just love Harry Potter so much. Now, excuse me while I go sob over the magic of it all.

I honestly really enjoyed this.
Stellar review, I know.

I've already watched the movie but needed a prompt to fit in my reading challenge for a book that takes place in the 1920's. Its not a book but is the screenplay so it is a quick read.

"My philosophy is that worrying means you suffer twice."

I would have even liked it more when it wasn't in screenplay written but I loved it. Time to watch the movie again ^^

Another great book from J.K. Rowling.
It gave me a feeling of those rare cases that the movie was better than the book. Perhaps because it is only the screenplay though.
I loved the fact the everything in the H.P. universe became more "adult" and is growing up along with its readers.
Definitely a must read for all Potter-heads! :D

Ohne Worte ❤

I rate this a 4.5/5 Stars !!!!!!

I loved the little illustrations in the book, my only gripe is I wanted more, I know I’m a selfish person. I want to know about Newt time at Hogwarts, what this Leta character did.

I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!!

-Like was there ever a person name Graves, or was it always Grindelwald ?

- Did Grindelwald have the elder wand this whole time ? And if so, does Newt/Tina now own the elder wand, meaning the wand answers to him or her? ( is that the reason why Grindelwald lost against Dumbledore, because the wand never really answered to him anymore, like for Voldemort’s demise?!?!?!?)

- Who the heck is Newt’s brother? ( A back story about the Scamanders would be much appreciated, along with the Lestranges)

- How to heck did a Goblin have a wand, I thought goblins weren’t allowed to own Wands after the war, or is that only in England?

- What is Newt patronus?

- Does Jacob get his memories back ?

- Does Hagrid and Newt ever meet, because they are cut from the same cloth ?

Rowling, my queen, please write a Fantastic Beast series, my mind won’t stop racing until I know. Or, write a series about the American wizarding school, Ilvermorny!!!!!It was a great thing I held off watching the movie until reading the screenplay, it made reading more enjoyable when I didn’t know what was going to happen ?
