Not the same

I made it a goal to read everything that I could on my TBR list, and it's slowly getting there...but while this was on there and I've been excited to read this series part of me knew it wasn't going to feel the same as it does to read Harry Potter.

Part of it feels too separated, and like she's trying too hard to make the same things happen in a world that's fundamentally the same but hasn't checked her own books to make sure that things are right before she writes them.

I thought I would enjoy the screenplay format and even that just annoyed me...

Just remember when reading, this is a screenplay.

Fast paced and fun to read! Love the fact that it's a script. It was like watching the movie again!

It is just as lovely as the movie.

After seven amazing books, eight movies, and a relatively enjoyable play on the "eighth HP book" (I don't consider it as an eighth HP book tbh; it so definitely isn't) about the Wizarding World, do I still have any room in my heart for five more? You bet your ass I do!

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them was a very good movie, even better than some of the HP movie adaptations. It gives all those who have loved HP an American perspective on the country's magical system. They have thr MACUSA, the No-Majs, the eerie execution room (instead of scary-ass dementors sucking out your soul), a mention of Ilvermorny, and more. It's fascinating getting to know these new terms and Newt's creatures as well.

I'm also glad for this screenplay because when I watched the movie, I had trouble understanding much of the dialogue (Newt's most especially because he mumble-talked a lot. I understand that that's his character and I love him to bits; I just have hearing problems, is all). Reading the screenplay helped me understand much of the dialogue that I didn't catch while watching and re-watching the movie.

So yeah, I can't wait for the next one!
