reflective slow-paced

Im not a big fan, but some of the poems are interesting.

I don't get it.

Nothing new for me, I never seem to appreciate wildly popular poets.

I tried to figure out whether I was missing something. I read other people's reviews, analysis, thoughts on this collection, and still came up empty. So, Emily Dickinson decided she preferred flowers and butterflies to people. On most days, I agree. She also thought about death a lot, which we all do. And, despite her fascination with watching grass grow, she still stayed sensitive to people's vulnerabilities.

Which, to be honest, it's quite a bit easier when you're holed up in your room and don't have to deal with people all that much.

And yet her poems failed to move me an inch. Some are cute, but they don't make me feel anything.

Meh.

I would be interested in listening to someone talking about why they like her poetry so much. Maybe I'm still missing something.
