This book BLEW me away!

For as long as she can remember, Lor has spent life imprisoned at Nostraza, a mix of Alcatraz, Azkaban, Auschwitz, and whatever not-so-cozy prison you can imagine. Her siblings have been imprisoned for crimes alongside her, yet Lor herself has done nothing wrong except being born. When Lor is kidnapped by a rival kingdom and made to participate in the Sun Queen Trials, she must come to terms with her past, present, and future as she fights to save her siblings in a bloody battle against superior Fae contestants. Because if she wins, not only will Lor gain the title of Sun Queen alongside the mighty and irresistible Sun King, she will also gain access to his Imperial Fae Magic, including the power to tear Nostraza to the ground.

I was genuinely confused as to who Lor is and why she is put through the struggles she is for the first three quarters of the book; but I did see the plot twist coming in the final fourth. Despite this, Tuli manages to keep the suspense and intrigue going strong up until the very end of the book and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!

Wow, just wow what a great book. A fast flowing book and so easy to listen too. The author has written a fantastic book, it flows so well. The narrators have lovely voices and did a wonderful job.
