The main character bothered me and the entire cat mouse of “what’s going on I need answers” and “there’s no time, answers later” is not my trope. Read a spoiler for book 1 and I was not impressed with the themes the book explores.

A true romantasy, I would liken it to ACOTAR. I could see a lot of the twists coming but still very much enjoyed the ride. The characters are lovable and the plot itself is intriguing enough for me to continue, I actually jumped right into book 2! I have thoughts/theories that have already come true and some I would put money on as I begin book 2. Easy reading and enjoyable to be a part of this bright world.

I liked this! So many tropes and parallels to other books in the same genre but still enjoyable!
Very addictive. Definitely a little predictable but enjoying it. I will definitely binge the next one.
