I enjoyed this read, and the idea behind this book, but the ending fell a little flat for me. I missed more of the magic within the story. I liked the FMC, and I enjoyed her growth and changes throughout the story, and I am guessing more comes within the next book(s). I’m just unsure if this grabbed me enough to continue the series.

Any book where I don't know exactly what's coming next get high marks from me. It was an easy read that kept my interest. Familiar in the way romantasy books are but different enough to stand out. I liked it!

i DEVOURED this book. i guessed the big twist but i’m not mad about it. it was well plotted and there’s still so many questions i have.  i was very surprised about some things that happened and i still am completely bewildered by wtf is up with gabriel.  starting the second book right now!!

I found the book a bit predictable and formulaic, but the ending of it has me looking forward to the rest of the series.
