A truly unique book. It can be slightly confusing at times as it is integral to the plot that same story is told, at times word for word, more than 3 times. However, thoroughly enjoyable and worth reading to the end. What really shines is the originality of the authors story telling devices and the strange metaphors and symbolism. It's an odd journey into uncharted territory for both the characters and reader.

Reading this book has certainly made me appreciate the show even more, highlighting the series' ability to take a somewhat formulaic source material and bend it in fully unpredictable ways. But the book also stands on its own as a fantastic stream of truly bonkers narration. "Akashi was engaging her carnal desires" "My manly essence was being exuded" bro wtf are u yappin about? When you're in a true tatami mood this shit is so fuckin funny and hits so hard. Good shit.
