Tatami Galaxy is a wonderful ride through and through. Self-pity is a self-destructive habit and this book is all about that. Living in regret of how you lived is a fruitless task, and not at all productive to living a good life. Tatami Galaxy is the best book I’ve ever read that analyzes the mental state of regret and the cyclic nature of our actions when we don’t treat a root cause.

I just really liked it a lot. It feels really comforting and nostalgic, I also really liked how characters were both larger than life and simultaneously your average neighbor.
