Solid 4 stars, I enjoyed this premise. World building was good, writing was good, interesting plot with just enough detail omitted to leave questions for book 2. I will say I didn’t feel the immediate connection I often do with a good sci-fi fantasy book. I think I wasn’t particularly connected to the characters in a meaningful way. I also felt because this was originally published as a series of short stories, there is a lack of plot twists that felt a little flat for me. I kind of knew what was happening from the beginning and the big reveals didn’t feel particularly big to me, it was sort of formulaic for a post-apocalyptic subterranean novel. I will likely read the next book and I would be interested to watch the show to see how the world is interpreted. I understand why this is such a hit for so many people, well written and interesting but for me was just a solid good read, not mind blowing.

I was bored by half way and then there was another half of a book that took forever to go anyway. I understand it's supposed to be broken up into 5 novellas but honestly, this is not worth the hype. Will not be continuing despite all the 'but I swear the second one is better'

Wow! Absolutely love this series with its strong female lead. Couldn’t put it down.

After a bit of a slow start, Wool quickly reached out to grab me with this completely alien and fascinating world mired in dystopian tropes. Suspense and heart-stopping thrills made this one really hard to put down, and I would highly recommend it.
