this took the longest for me to read lol but i rly did like it! my complaints would have to be about the plot turn in the last 10%. i felt like it wasn’t enough time to in depth talk about it our have it fully resolved. otherwise i loved vlad and elena but damn miscommunication!

Vlad's story was truly the one I was waiting for since the beginning. Add in the tropes that are provided? Lyssa Kay Adams really gave me another favorite with this one.

I received an ecopy of this book through Netgalley; however, my opinions are my own.

This is up there tied for my favourite in the series. I lovveeee hockey.
I really didn't like how The Russian was used as the butt of jokes in books 1,2,&3.. so seeing him be more respected and get his HEA was good. I really Liked Elena. I love how they'd slip into Russian with each other. I loved how much it showed that Vlad is a gentle giant and had random neighborhood pets just showing up to his house. I also loved the descriptions of Russian food!
But again, like some of the previous books, it gets bogged down by side plot.

I know I said this about the last one, but THIS is my new favorite Bromance Book Club book.

Vlad and Elena are just so precious. Marriage of convenience PLUS childhood friends to lovers?? Chef’s kiss, 10/10, excellent pairing. And once again the entire friendship between the book club members is both hilarious and so sweet - I *wish* there was a real group of men like this.

Also, I really need bonus chapters for the couples in this series. I need past proposals and cute moments and just all the joy. The end.

POV: dual third person omniscient

You can expect: childhood friends to lovers, marriage of convenience, caretaking, hockey player MMC, hockey butt, book club, cooking as a love language, forced proximity, second chance.

Rep: IBD, gluten allergy, broken leg

Spice: 2/5

CW: kidnapping, broken limb (described, happens off page)
