Christa Bailey is a landscaper who will potentially make the Canadian Olympic Softball team. But, she's concerned that she has a stalker. She knows Rayne Hutchinson who is part of the ERT (like American SWAT) through her best friend. She's very attracted to him. He always flirts with her but she blows it off because he's a player. He finds out about the potential stalker and decides he wants to help. He thinks Christa is everything a woman should be. Not only is she beautiful and intelligent but she is the most caring person he's ever met. Rayne and Christa begin a relationship. All of his friends warn him not to hurt Christa because she's special. There is a big confrontation with the stalker which makes Rayne have to do the unthinkable. I enjoyed the book and the resolution to the stalker story. Rayne and Christa were great together.
