Excitedly anticipated, my expectations were perhaps quite high. Nina Hill and Adult Assembly Acquired were so,so wonderful! While I loved how prickly Christa is (and her love of practical shorts, and snails, and spouting of science facts, especially when nervous), and generally how real she felt to me, I did not buy her life experience. It felt ... both grand and sketches in broad strokes, like a story I may have heard before in some form, but also too over the top, to rocket me out of the story.
Sadly, nowhere near my favorite Waxman.
