This was a very good book following the book 'I'd tell you i love you but then I'd have to kill you'.When 15 boys come to the Galager Academy strange things start happening.

Continuing my reread of this series and yup, this was a lot of fun! I was kind of disappointed
Spoiler when the climax of the novel racheted up the stakes and I was like, hell yeah! but then the teachers were like, SIKE! It was all a test! So tbh there was no real stakes in this book, but I guess it's a good setup. Also I don't trust those Blackthorne boiz or Dr. Steve farther than I can throw them. And I'm very weak. (As you can tell I forgot most of the plots to these books.)

Actual rating: 3.5/5

I think this series is really entertaining, especially for a series on the younger side of young adult. But I do wish that the endings were a little more drawn out. I understand that they have to leave you wanting more to continue through the series, but the endings are just a little abrupt.

In this second book, I also had some issues with the pacing, and especially the relationship development. I really like the new love interest, but our main character's relationship with him develops awfully fast and it feels less believable than the relationship she had with her boyfriend in the first book.

I am continuing, though, and I'm excited to see where the rest of the series goes!

These books are like candy...not a lot of substance but definitely a lot of fun!

Part of a reread of my childhood books and I loved it!

The sequel was better than the initial, for sure. It tackles important developmental milestones for adolescents and also approaches the difficult subject of true trust. In a world where all you know is that your school breeds spies. your parents are spies, and you are going to be a spy, we get to watch teenage girls give into puberty and learn what it means to be an ordinary girl, even if it’s only a cover.

Cammie is back after the holidays with her grandparents and her debriefing with the CIA, with the promise to be good this time around. IF only that wasn't so hard.

First off, why is the East Wing closed off? Why are there boys following them around? And most important of all - what happens if she runs into Josh?
