This one and the third in the series are the best, pretty much because they're all action straight through. Very enjoyable, and it only took me like three days to get through.

I purchased this book because I like to finish things. I really had no idea that there were two additional books in the series, as I had read that it was a trilogy, and had already read the 3 books.

Imagine my surprise then when I saw this at Walmart.

I was disappointed with the ending. It was almost as though everything was wrapped up nice and neat and even a bow was added. The end just didn't seem up to par with the caliber I'm used to in a Dean Koontz novel.

I can only hope that number 5 really is the last book in the series.

***SPOILERS***

I thought the part where Victor finally met his end was a little anti-climatic. And I hated that Deucalion didn't live afterwards =( But I was touched by the ending between Mr. Lyss and Nummy, it was so sweet! And I'm glad Carson and Michael made it safe. It was overall all a good book, and I definitely recommend the series!

Whew...it felt like it took me forever to get through this one but at the same time it felt like no time at all. This is the final book in Koontz's Frankenstein series. After reading the first 4 books last summer I waited a long time for this one to come out. If you have not read the first four books, I highly recommend you read them first and also read them in order. You will be pretty much clueless as to what has happened leading up to this book and the characters will not be so important to you. A few new characters were introduced in this one and I was so happy to know my favorites (not saying which one's) save the day and make it to the end. There did seem to be some repetition throughout the book and the ending was kind of...well, just there. I kind of felt like it was one of those "get it over with" kind of endings, which did disappoint me. Honestly, this is not up to par, in my opinion, as books 1-4, and that made me sad. This book goes back and forth from chapter to chapter to different characters from what they are realizing is happening in their town (for the new chapters) and where they have ended up since the previous books (for returning characters) to how they are fighting back and pulling together to fight the fight of their lives. Overall, this is a good conclusion to the series and a must read. Well written with plenty of detail to keep you reading to the end.

I found this book to be a little slow but I still enjoyed the story, charcters, and that ending! This was a pretty good series over all.
