Literally went through so many emotions with this book! I was a little worried how Addie would have a love story because she is shown as being shy and skittish in the first two books. I couldn’t see how it would work, but damn Catherine Cowles had me falling in love with Beckett and Addie’s love story from the first chapter. Showing Addie as being soft but also having that fire in her, reminds the readers that even though she is scared and on edge, there was a fire in her that made her choose to leave her fathers abuse. Beckett knowing not to treat her like a wounded animal did wonders for Addie but also as a reader getting to read the trust she began feeling with him was such a tear jerker/ awww moment. Amazing book had me on the edge of my seat

I don’t know…3.5ish maybe? I think I liked it, but the off the grid abusive community is difficult to read. I think that’s why I’m not loving this series as much as the last one. Poor Addie. Her and Beckett are great together but man she’s been through way so much that I forgot she was shot in the last book.
