This is an outstanding book. I absolutely loved it. A gripping, at times painful story, full of cleverly crafted twists and reveals. The best crime thriller I've read in a long time

The story started well and it’s a good study of a chaotic family dynamic but the last 3rd dragged on for such a long time that it ruined the enjoyment. You could cut a tonne of stuff and it would improve the pace. For that it drops from a 4 to a 3.6 for me.
