I thoroughly enjoyed the audio version of this book, but I’m not sure I would’ve liked it as much if I had read it differently. The concept was great and I loved that I didn’t know what was about to happen at any point in the book. I do think the main character’s personality wasn’t as consistent as it probably should’ve been, but overall the book was an interesting, fast read.

Computational biology professor tracks down a serial killer. Some really good stuff here. I see it's part of a series available on Kindle Unlimited. Awesome, can't wait to listen to book 2.

Parts were ok ... but most parts I did not like.
The plot was not well developed, the main character was cookie cutter, there weren't ANY strong supporting characters, the quick little comeback quips reminded me of James Bond movie dialogue, it had almost nothing to pull me in and keep me.
But I powered through it anyway.

A computational biologist turned into detective is a new thing for me in my reading journey. But I loved Prof Theo Cray. I listened to an audiobook and the narrator, the story, the mystery did not disappoint.
Theo Cray is questioned by local police with respect to the death of his former student Juniper. But as the death gets classified as a "Bear attack", Theo falls out of the police suspect list. Yet, as Theo gets to know of Juniper's background, the circumstances how she died etc., he gets suspicious. Theo can't let go. And his scientist mind knows the facts do not tally.
A wonderful page turner. Looking forward to read the next in series!!
Happy Reading!!
