I feel like I would have given this book more stars if it wasn’t the length of the Bible. This book is entirely too long, by the time I was finished I forgot how the story started, or the little things going on in each character’s life. After a while this novel plateaus and I found myself just reading it to finish it, no longer absorbing the words.

Every page is spare, great writing but at the half-way point, I was just feeling that this was way, way too long. Does pick up a bit towards the end.

The first 200 pages had me hooked. The rest were bad! The story wasn’t great and I ended up hating all the characters

I seemed to have missed in the description that this book would have religion as a main theme. It may have taken me slightly out of it. 
I also felt for how long the book is (almost 25 hrs of listening!) and how much time was spent in a single day that the second part was rushed.
