A lot of characters, and at first was a bit of a struggle to keep up with who is who but that soon went, the further I got into the book, i was fascinated all the way through to learn what happened, and knew there would be some twists! There was and they didn’t disappoint, right till the very last sentence.

This was a real page turner, read it quickly so I could put all the missing pieces together. I did figure out most turns but not all. Love when I figure them out just as much as when I am shocked. Looking forward to my next Andrea Mara book.

Andrea Mara is the queen of missing children story lines, I’m sure. This hooked me from the first page and got me out of a reading slump so fast! This book was full of neighbourhood drama, deception, twists and turns. It gave me desperate housewives vibes, but with a Dublin twist! It’s told in dual timelines which is an instant win for me, and although there is a whole cast to get to grips with I found it settled into my head about 1/3 in (before that I would have to skip back to check who’s who 🫢). Also, I found the pacing was just to my liking and there was not a moment where I was bored or reaching for my phone!

Mara has become an auto-buy author for me (let’s be honest she was once I read NOSAT) and I’ve just preordered her latest novel! All Her Fault is eyeing me up from the shelf as we speak, so look out for a review soon 🤍

Hold good lord above. What an incredible book. There were so many twists and turns that when you thought you figured it out, you were back to square one. Very good

My first of Andrea Mara's, and won't be my last.
Layered plotlines that begin to mingle with one another as the story progresses in a psychological thriller, but it was still easy to follow the plots, the characters, and the two timelines. An unreliable narrator, a couple twists throughout, and an ending that wasn't so easily predictable - overall, enjoyable to read.

I was fairly relieved to know that Lily was alive. And so close to our protagonist. Children getting hurt for no reason in books is something I emotionally loathe so that was good
