I don't care if you call this a forbidden romance, a second chance romance, poor girl meets rich guy, I call it wonderful, fantastic and super fun to read. London and Max are a great couple that deserve to find happiness. I am grateful that they shared it with this reader.

A Date for the Regatta gives me hope that there is someone out there for everyone. That person might be right in front of you. Max's need to always be with London made my heart beat faster. They are both risking a lot to be together.

There are those that won't approve of rich boy Max and waitress London. The Regatta will be an important test for London. Will she pass? Will she fail? Will she be blindsided? Will things work out so she can find the happiness she deserves?

One night with a stranger turns into so much more when sailor Max sets his sights on waitress London while proving that his skills on his boat are enough to win the regatta. But social standing and money turn what could have been a budding romance into a night that neither one of them can ever forget. Can you really fall in love in an instant? And will society levels be something they can overcome? With great and enjoyable characters this was a great read.

Get ready to set sail for romance! Hot, and sweet with a splash of angst, this voyage is one highly satisfying ride. Five stars for this must read.

This book was great.
London is a great character. She’s been put through the wringer by life but holds her head up and lives the best life she can.
Max is torn between the life he wants and the expectations of the life he was born into.
Together they work. They compliment each other and can have open conversations about important things.
I like how Max didn’t try and pretend to be someone he isn’t or back down when someone said or thought something wrong about him. His fortitude makes him one of the best male protagonists in this series.
I adore Max’s mom and stepdad. She is just delightful. His stepdad is kind and patient, especially with his exuberant wife. I wish there’d been more book so we could spend more time with them.
I loved the subtle nod to a previous character in the series (I won’t spoil it).
I received an advanced copy of this in exchange for an honest review.

Another 5 stars for Dover and McLaughlin

I honestly have never been to a Regatta and wasn't quite sure what it was, so I searched about it while I was reading this book. What a fun idea for one of the date series books! There is always something beautiful in the wealthy falling in love outside their circle...it is like a Cinderella fairy tell and you can't help but let it warm your heart in this story.
