This was really good, I'd call it a dark and gritty fantasy story.

I don't read fantasy stories much, as I tend to find them a bit soft for my taste, but this is excellent, the writing was very smooth and easy to read, and well balanced between the erotic and the horror.

It had a similar feel to 'The City' by S.C. Mendes, but with a stronger fantasy feel as apposed to 'The City' is more of a crime noir, with more complexity and depth, it is also almost 200 pages more.

I will definitely be checking out more of this authors work.

Very dark and a story unlike anything I have ever read before. Necromancy, zombies, potpourri, and brothels.
Need I say more! My first read from this author and plan on reading the rest of the series.

This was a superbly written world-building novel set in a city called Hedonia, which is plague-ridden and there's a necromancer bringing beautiful young women back from the dead to serve unsuspecting men in brothels.

Cool storyline.
I liked the world-building.
I liked the characters.

It contains graphic sex, violence, and material you may find disturbing.

If you're not bothered by this then definitely go read it!

I'm reading another book by this author next because this was enjoyable.
