Sweet book. It took a while to get warmed up to the characters but once I did it was very heartwarming

In a basement in Tokyo there's a little coffee shop offering coffee and the chance to travel in time.
There are conditions however, you must sit in a specific seat, you cannot leave your seat, you cannot change the present and you must return before the coffee gets cold.

The book follows a number of customers as they use the cafes unique service to visit with people from their pasts. Their visits are all so different, the girl who wants to speak to the  boyfriend who left her to travel to America, the wife whose husband has forgotten who she is, the sister who wants to make peace with her sibling and the mother to meet her daughter.

Each story is more heartbreaking than the next. Their stories are beautifully written and I'm so glad that there are more books to this series for me to enjoy.

At first I did not like the book but decided to keep reading. There were so many character names and things to keep track of that it was difficult to connect to the story, but once you get past the first “story” it gets easier and is actually a really sweet read.

The book is kind of split up into different stories all taking place within the cafe. Each section is the story of a different character and they all add up in the end and tie together.
