Incredible storytelling. The author crafted a fascinating story of 20-something's exploration, and then landed it in a lovely framework of a  woman in her 50s sharing most of the story with her daughters. Remarkable execution.

I hate to say this about a book so many people seemed to love... but it was dull. Really dull. 

I kept going as I had heard great things, just waiting for it to turn around, to reach a crescendo. But it just remained tedious throughout.
