This is a wonderfully, vulnerable book that includes tons of practical advice about grief, forgiveness and so much more as the author has to deal with a marriage that dissolves as a result of her husband coming out. I can see this book being very useful for anyone who reads it, not just one who is having marriage struggles. I also enjoyed the literature and tv references. The author and I share many of the same favorites!
Highly recommend!

When I tapped on this title in my Libro.fm library, I wasn't wearing my glasses. Based on the cover, I assumed I was getting a novel. Maybe a romance? In mere moments, I realized I was mistaken. This is a self-help book about bouncing back from disappointment.

Was it what I thought I needed in the moment? Not necessarily. But I was drawn in by the author's own life story and curious what she would offer in the way of advice. So, I hung with her.

It's a good book, full of wisdom you can likely find in other books, but told with the heart and kindness and authenticity that come from the author's own life experience. I'm glad I listened all the way through, and just may snag a hard copy to have on hand so I can recall the wisdom when life serves up its next disappointment for me or someone I love.
