Definitely some recurring homophobia which made me like the book a little less but overall the narrative structure of the life experiences and then related game show question was unique and interesting. The story came together in ways I didn’t expect. Many plot points came to a satisfying conclusion. I haven't seen the movie and didn’t know much about it so I didn’t realize how dark this would be. Definitely check trigger warnings if there’s certain things you want to avoid.

The book was decent but hard to follow. I don't know if it was because of the Narrator's accent or the many difficult Indian names but I could have enjoyed it more I believe. Thinking about story reminds of just a work of fiction the way it all played out with Thomas. Should I watch the film now?
