love love love this book. This was recommended to me as someone’s all time favourite book and I enjoyed it so much. I’m a sucker for historically accurate books especially when it has something to do with any war and although not all the characters were real I went through the journey with them and got to experience some parts which were taken from real accounts and conversations that took place. Cannot recommend this book enough
I listened to about 6 hours worth of this book. It’s well researched and written. But fiction just isn’t my taste normally and I was expecting a little more political intrigue and less romance than I found within these pages. Maybe someday I’ll listen to these books (the narrator is fantastic), but I just don’t enjoy the constant romance and slow pace to which it started off.

Bellissimo libro, molto nelle mie corde. Due anni fa avevo letto I Pilastri della terra e avevo apprezzato molto la scrittura di Ken Follet, ma la storia non faceva per me. Questo invece era perfetto: la Grande Guerra e la Rivoluzione Russa vista da cinque prospettive diverse. Non vedo l'ora di comprare e leggere il seguito. Inoltre ero interessata a tutte le storie e a tutte le sottotrame, ho trovato tutti i personaggi molto interessanti e ben scritti. Spero che il sequel sarà all'altezza.

Me encantó, La disfruté mucho, amé a los personajes, todo está bien estructurado. Me gustó como presentó todos los hechos históricos y como la vida de los personajes se iba entrelazando. Solo el inicio es algo lento, entiendo que el autor quería mostrarnos la realidad social de la época para ponernos en contexto, pero aún así tarda en entrar en acción, es lo único que no me deja poner 5 estrellas al libro. Igual lo super recomiendo.
