This is the best novel I have ever read, and probably the best I will ever read. I don't think any amount of re-reads will allow me to fully encapsulate Dostoyevsky's ideas through the literary, philosophical, and religious views portrayed in this novel.  What I can say, though, without directly quoting the book, is that there exists a Karamazov in each of us, regardless of whether in a good or bad way. I can say nothing more. I'll have to reread this one.

An excellent timeless observation - "'Show a Russian schoolboy a chart of the heavens,' he writes, 'of which hitherto he had no idea at all, and the next day he will return the chart to you with corrections.' No knowledge and boundless conceit..." (556).

I don’t know that I loved it for most of the read, but the last one hundred pages were incredibly powerful writing and the epilogue in particular was so moving that I cried.
