Audiobook review: I must admit I was drawn to this book because the title remind me of my own book, Santa’s (Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right!) Night Before Christmas. Mine is an illustrated children’s book and I agree with others that maybe this would have been more suitable as a children’s chapter book? Thinking Beverly Cleary as I type. Nevertheless I enjoyed the whimsy and the imagination of it all while trying to sort out the gentle mystery. It got a little long and far fetched but I wouldn’t pass it by if you are a child at heart like me. But if you are looking for an adult mystery novel this is probably a little too far of a stretch. On the other hand if it is the holiday season and you want something light and might make you smile and giggle a time or too then give this a topsy turvy title a whirl and see what you think.

This is easily one of the funniest books I have ever read! So well written, and nothing like James Patterson at all. I adore that it's so heartfelt, with the mother dying and them all being hurt, but in the end it was her that brought them back together.
The flow is very nice. It's very concise and well done. James Patterson and Tad Safran, you've out done yourselves this time!

The Twelve Topsy-Turvy, Very Messy Days of Christmas was such a fun Christmas read! It was heartwarming, entertaining, and even brought a tear to my eye at the end. I love a good family coming back together at Christmas story.

Henry, Will, and Ella have had a rough few years. Their wife/mom passed away and life is hard. Henry is struggling at his job, Will has fallen into the wrong crowd, and Ella has become a germaphobe who isn't confident in herself. They need something big to pull them back together as a family. Enter Ms. Truelove and her 12 magical gifts.

This story was exactly what I was looking for. It was quick, funny, absurd, and magical. It gave me all the warm fuzzy feelings that these family stories should at Christmas. I was charmed and left the book with a smile!

If you're looking for a fun holiday book, this one is it. It's not your typical "rom com" style Christmas book, which was a nice change. This book is different, quirky, and a fresh original. I can actually see this becoming a movie sometime in the future (or at least I hope so).

Synopsis: Will and Ella are kids who just want Christmas and presents to come back into their lives. Five years ago, their mom passed away and their professor dad just stopped all things festive. So when they start receiving gifts from "The 12 Days of Christmas" song, it takes them a while to figure it out...and by then, they're inundated with birds! Who is TrueLove and why is she sending them these odd gifts? And how will the family manage all this, along with dad possibly losing his job?
