This was a really interesting book studying the intersection of identity for Asian Jews. My husband is among that demographic, so I had a personal reason to pick this up and felt that I came away with a deeper understanding of his experience.

That said, this reads more like a thesis in sociology and may not be for everyone. It's published by a university press, so the academic nature of the book seems appropriate for the intended audience.

If you have any interest in sociology and/or identity, this is definitely worth it to pick up.
