So Im a simp for Theon..SUE ME!!!!!! Adding him to the top of my ever growing, never ending list of shadow daddies. I love him????? This series has me in an absolute chokehold and I can’t believe more people aren’t screaming about it from the rooftops!!! It is SO GOOD. And with all the plot lines and twists going on, I literally have no idea where everything is going. Just enjoying the ride and my obsession with Theon. Thank you.

This series is crazy, I don't think I have any idea what is going on.
Tessa annoyed the crap out of me, but I did enjoy her last scene with Theon.
I want her with Luka or someone else. I completely dislike Theon, and I didn't enjoy their 'romance' at all. Thank god for Axel and Kat.
This series needs to be reread to understand it, but unless there is a romance I can actually enjoy, it won't be happening.
As much as I want to stop now, I need to see if the author cleans up this mess at all.

This book is an emotional rollercoaster for all the characters. Axel and Kat...What is happening there?! Axel shows so much more maturity and understanding for the females in this book than his brother. This dude STEPPED UP.
Tessa, Luka, and Theon enter into some weird type of love triangle. Despite Theon's flaws and crazy lack of understanding of a female's emotional needs, I am ultimately rooting for him. Luka is so understanding of Tessa, and despite their new emotional connections, I am hoping for a best-friend role for him with his own future love interest. If the trio is endgame, however, the three of them need to do a lot of work to get there. It's a good thing there are two more books for them to work out their feelings and traumas.
It took me way longer to read this book than I wanted because I was also reading others at the same time, but let me tell you...this one was always sitting there in the back of my mind.
For the negatives, this story jumped sometimes. There are almost too many secrets. Tessa went from a "beaten down, and I give all my power away" character to an "all-powerful, you will never control me" type of character in 2.5 seconds. Luka can suddenly travel, but somehow, his BFF, Theon, never put it together that he could, and now he's whiny about it.
Read this book if you enjoy character development over plot. While there is a storyline, the characters are what hold you into this story. It's about their journey overcoming their pasts and learning to work together more than the world development.

Wow that ending oh my god Tessa's feminine rage is giving me life. I read this in 48 hours could not put it down. I lived for Axel and Katya. The world building is detailed and interesting without being overwhelming. My only complaints are that I do feel like Tessa has spent too much time in this series asleep, some of the language has become repetitive, and I don't really care for Luka.

This book is chaos and rage, but I can't put it down. Literally every character is morally gray/corrupt and I never knew what was going to happen next. This book is an unexpected gem!
