LaToya Ruby Frazier examines the breaking down of the individual and family as parallel to the breakdown of community, linking intimate experience of tragedy and decay to the larger systemic forces creating generational patterns of suffering, specifically for Black communities. 

These remain some of my favorite photos I've ever seen.
