I love Drew. I guess it's a pattern in these types of romance books but, the athlete always has this amazing confidence. They know they are good-looking, they know have amazing personalities, they are the perfect combination of sweet, loving, caring and sexy, and the are so confident in their skin. Why are they always cut from the same mold? With that said, I have no complaints about Drew. He is the perfect fictional love interest/boyfriend.
Harper...hmmmm. Why is she so negative? She closes herself off and is constantly on a defensive streak with everyone around her. It's exhausting to read and it must be exhausting to carry that personality around all day, every day. I would have loved it if Harper was a bit more vocal regarding her father's death, her grief, his struggle and pain, something she had to reflect on once he died. I wish the topic of suicide was also discussed more for the reader so they could relate if they were facing similar thoughts.

I have read and loved this before, but wanted to listen to the audio version. Unfortunately I can’t recommend it. I find but narrators extremely annoying especially when they attempt to voice a character of the opposite gender. I highly recommend reading the ebook instead. I loved Drew and Harper’s story and, moreover, how the author included and dealt with very heavy topics.

A book about humans with actual flaws and trying to overcome them so it was naturally a 5 star read
