Very subtle but powerful! I loved all the different messages behind each word.
If you are looking for a book of beautiful compositions about brokenness, this is not it.
One of those books you finish overtime, it's a good bedside table read on those nights you just need a little reminder. Really enjoyed some of the poetry in this book, very real, honest, relateable and female empowering!
I’m honestly torn on this book. There were some very relatable pieces about love and loss and escapism through books, but beyond that the book was a massive mess of repetition. The book could’ve been half the size of not for the pines which were just rephrasings of earlier poems…
There were some lovely little poems here and there but this book could have been half the size that it is. I swear half the poems in there were “love yourself” and “love can hurt” and “drop the one who aren’t good enough for you”. It’s giving self help. I was excited to read this because I’ve hear so many good things about R. H. Sin and he’s just really mid. He’s giving early 2010s tumblr and that would’ve been fine if this was published in that time, but this book is from 2017. Overall, a sprinkling of good poems and then repetitive shit for the rest of the book.
slow-paced
horrible. honestly didn’t even finish it. wouldn’t recommend.
Not my favorite of the ones I’ve read by him, but I would still recommend it!
This book is the kind of “fake deep” stuff you reblog on Tumblr. I’m not saying that means the content is bad, just that as great as this stuff is, it feels a bit amateur-ish. Some people might really attach themselves to this kind of poetry I’d just rather reblog or retweet this kind of content.
