The mystery was definitely a throwaway in this one interesting but not important. It serve red a purpose though. The real focus was the wedding and Peter and Nick's feelings for one another. The book still had me laughing out loud and I totally enjoyed it!

Not so much a mystery as an update on Peter and Nick's wedding plans.
Definitely a series to be read in order, and really back to back as they seem to almost be 5 installments of one story.
I enjoyed Peter and Nick together, though despite the span of time covered in the whole series, they hadn't grown much but do understand each other.
The introduction of the parents was interesting, especially Nick's parents and the dynamics they show vs Peter and Nick's dynamics.
I'm not sure the eagle story added much other than a catalyst for Peter and Erik to bond. The Shamus/Bradley issue continued a theme from other books.
A nice 3.5*
