I enjoy these books almost as much as I enjoy the tv series. It's interesting to imagine the characters exactly as they are portrayed opposed to your own ideas about a character. Story was filled with typical demons; smart-ass remarks. Easy fun read.

Reading this in key west was perfection
Adoro los libros de supernatural, pero comparado con el anterior, creo que el estilo de Keith es el que no me termina de convencer. Creo que la historia es sólida, y parece sacada de un capítulo de la serie.
Pero a pesar de ello, creo que se dilata mucho en contar la historia de personajes que no vienen tanto a cuento. Entiendo que es algo característico de Supernatural, pero en la serie, al ser un programa, las cosas pasan en segundos, pero en un libro, son páginas y páginas. Y si bien en algunos casos podría ser necesario, en muchos otros parece ser sólo relleno para hacer largo el libro.
Este es mi punto más negativo, la dilatación innecesaria y la presentación de personajes innecesarios.
Pero un punto a rescatar, que creo que en el anterior no lo sentí, es la personalidad de los personajes. Creo que acá, el vínculo entre Sam y Dean es mucho más fuerte, es esa relación apasionada, fuerte e indestructible. En el que mueren y matan por el otro, que es de lo más característico de la serie. En este libro lo vi, y me encantó completamente.
Lo recomiendo mucho porque, a pesar de los detalles negativos, es una lectura ligera y que si amas Supernatural como yo, son entretenidos de leer, ya que narran más que nada las primeras temporadas (que a mi opinión son las mejores).

Being that these books are all written by different authors, you never really know what you're going to get when you open one. Some of them I love, one or two I could barely finish. This one is one of the best ones of the bunch. With demons and ghosts, and a little bit of Bobby thrown in (Yay!), it's a spooky good story. Most importantly, DeCandido gets the boys' personalities right. Nothing will suck me out of the story faster than Dean or Sam saying something stupidly out of character. So, if you're a fan of the show (and why would you be reading these if you're not?), you'll like this one. It's got all the elements of a good episode.

Another good Supernatural story, the author obviously loves his famous classic authors as is the second of his two novels to reference a famous author. It was the third novel out of three to have ghosts and although it had demons too, it would be nice to have the novel centre on a different monster. I found there was a bit too much back and forth with the chapters which made it a bit difficult to follow. One chapter you're with the Winchesters and the next you're with a random person dying. I liked having Bobby in the story and getting some backstory for him.
Much like the first two tie-in novels I read, this one was a good way to pass the time, although it's nothing spectacular. I did like the case the boys were working, and the way the author really fleshed out Key West and the people you'd see there. I also felt like the boys were more in character than the previous two installments, which was definitely a good thing; with a show like Supernatural as your basis, you kind of need the characters to sound like the characters you see on TV! I also liked the appearance from Bobby, and the nods to the season this is set in (season 3), particularly Dean's looming trip to hell. All in all this was a solid story, and definitely the best of the three tie-in novels I've read so far.
