Fuck me.

Matrimony won’t leave me alone recently.
Elaine May, returning to Carson McCullers, even crying at Bridgerton, for gods sake.

Silly heterosexuality everywhere. Aggrieved with my own identity and the dragging of loved ones.

This book is perfection. Getting to live in that family fold. To picture the house so vividly. A sock-focused ending.

i think it’s time to accept that, yes, i love pretentious literary fiction following dysfunctional, hard-to-handle lesbians.

this book felt fleabag-esque but not the steamy priest x fleabag part that people obsess over; rather, it’s closer to the relationship between claire and fleabag as sisters, working through grief and love in their own unique, painful ways.
