This graphic novel is a sort of "remix" or adaption of the first of Auster's "New York Trilogy." It tells the story of Daniel Quinn, who is mistaken for the private investigator, Paul Auster. Daniel Quinn slowly goes mad while trying to solve a mystery.

I liked the style of this graphic novel and the theme around identity, but don't expect a conventional plot or much of a wrapped up ending. It just kind of ends. Overall, intriguing enough to make me want to seek out some of Auster's other work.

When I was reading about Asterios Polyp this got mentioned a couple times and so I added it to my list for the library.

I feel like I missed a lot here, like, there's probably good reasons people praised this but they apparently went right over my head.

Amazing, meta, crazy, so clever, art compliments the story so well. SO MUCH TO UNPACK. Must go read book now as well and reread this soon.

(for school)

Bastante psicologico, me hizo ver de forma distinta, las cosas que veo a diario.

Falls apart a bit at the end, and while I know that's mostly deliberate, the disintegration isn't as interesting as it thinks it is. The Peter Stillman sections are genius.
