Summary:

Fire has always been a thing of nightmares for many. In this world, people are at risk of spontaneously combusting and turning into Infernals. An Infernal wants only one thing - to destroy. They are no longer considered human. That is where the Fire Force comes into play. It's their duty to protect the people.

After Vulcan's workshop was attacked, Shinra and his allies had no choice but to defend themselves. Unfortunately, there's one more surprise on the horizon, as Shina's brother is directly behind the attack.

Review:

It's the twist we all knew was coming! But seriously, the building tension about Shinra's brother has been perfectly crafted. It made me excited to read Fire Force Vol. 8, to say the least.

Nothing about this volume went the way I expected, and I love it. This series has so many twists and turns, and it's far from over. Once again, we're getting to see more of the world and the characters within. It does make me wonder – will we see Company 8 either work with or fight all of the other Companies? I actually kind of hope so.

Fire Force Vol. 8 ends on a cliffhanger and is in mid-battle. So, if you're binging the series like I am, may I suggest you get your hands on volume 9 at the same time?

Highlights:

Brigade 8th now has their own engineer, got some training and upgrades and now are ready to face White Clad. The fight will not be easy, but hoping for the best for 8th brigade. So excited!

Story 4,6/5
Emotionen 4,0/5
Charaktere 5,0/5
Zeichenstil 5,0/5
Lesegefühl 4,6/5
Gesamt 4,6/5

4/5 Stars (%77/100)

Sho and Shinra finally meet but it is not what we expected at all. Also, Sho has perhaps the coolest power in the whole series. With Vulcan recruited, the new arc (Netherworld) starts and there are some cool fights in this volume, especially Maki's fight. The 8th Company's search for answers continues and even though it is linear I like how it is done. Thus, just because something is done many times before does not mean that it is automatically bad. I think the whole Generation and fire-based abilities are cool and the world itself is interesting. Slowly but surely it becomes better. I liked this book in general.

This is new for me because I put down this series for a while. I read the scanlations and it's really exciting. I love the characters and adored the bond that they shared not just among the 8th members but also the allies they made. 4 stars!
