i accidentally deleted my review and now idk what i said :( i liked the book but it felt like a necessary middle between the first and third books. it's as if there wasn't enough info in the first book to continue to the third so the second was necessary but not as interesting as the third. i do love this series though and while fredrik backman could've ended the first book and made it a standalone i'm glad he didn't because it was so good.

I LOVED THIS BOOK. First time a story made me cry. Fredrick Backman is my new favorite writer. He tells a story like no other. Didnt think a sequel could be better than the original but i enjoyed this one more. GREAT!!

Fredrik Backman is an author that never fails to deliver. This book was heartbreaking (I cried because of course) and yet leaves you feeling hopeful. Like I do not care about hockey and this book is about hockey. But like I adore this book because it makes me care about hockey. The end. Gonna prepare myself for the breakdown that the final book is sure to cause.
