5⭐️ Audiobook.

I loved the first book and was worried this one wouldn’t live up but it was just as good.

My heart broke each of the characters at least once during the book. The character development and people finding their way back from hardship was so beautiful.

Us against you is heartbreaking and complicated, unflinching but ultimately hopeful. It also leaves lost of room for introspection.
“It’s so easy to place your hope in people. To think that the world can change overnight. We demonstrate after an attack, we donate money after a disaster, we lay our hearts bare online. But for every step forward we take, we take an almost equally large step back. Seen over time, every change is so slow that it’s barely visible when it’s happening.”- us against you

Loved this book. Not an emotional reader but this book made me shed a year 3 different times. Not a fast reader but read the final 150 pages in a day. Couldn't put it down.

Backman eloquently weaves hockey and community, love and hate, compassion and jealousy beautifully together.

fredrik backman once again committing the crime of making me care way too deeply about benji ovich

Excellent sequel to Beartown; it had me gripped, eager to get through each chapter.
