Really enjoyed this one! Fun to read - hard to put down. I had seen the movie without knowing the book was part of a trilogy. To my delight the movie had condensed and shortened the plot lines - so reading the book was like discovering a whole new plot line with the same characters.

This is probably a really fun book for folks who like accurate, detailed spy thrillers. Definitely not for me.

Oof. Too long and at some parts boring.

If you're looking for the movie you won't really find it here. There are bits that made it in the movie, but otherwise it's pretty different. Better or worse than the movie? As with most movies made from books, the book is better than the movie. This is no exception. Will I read books 2 and 3 in the series? In all likelihood, yes.

A decent spy thriller set in the modern day. Very much a Cold War 2.0 novel. If you like Le Carre, you might enjoy this one. Worth your time if you are a spy thriller fan.

well done. i like the second volume of this series, which i read first, better than this first volume. (i encourage you to read the them in the order they were written.)

the two main characters, Egorova & Nash, aren't the best part of this novel. there's way too much of sexy russian girl spy meets hunky american boy spy, sexy russian girl falls in love with hunky american boy spy, etc. but the many secondary characters are very fun. the erasable american agent, Gable, is by far the best among them. he needs his own series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this spy thriller from beginning to end. The story carried along a tension that kept you glued to every page. This is definitely a book worth picking up.

DNF. Not my kind of thriller or adventure novel.

Loved this. Slow, deep burn. Satisfying and fun. Among the best thrillers I have read in ages. I'll be eager for his next effort.
