This is going to be an angry review: 

Stella deserves the world after the bullying she had to endure all her life even from people who loved and cared for her. And while it got tiresome to see people berate her for her freckles, red hair and glasses; I reckon it is a realistic depiction of prejudice against people like her. 
I’m glad Stella and Yasmin managed to get over Silvester’s bullshit and forged a strong friendship. 
Silvester took forever to get his head out of his ass and should have groveled so much more. Stella forgave him way too quickly, but she had the hots for him from day one so what can I say lol.
The dowager duchess, Mama Huntington,  is the true MVP; I’ve enjoyed every scene she was in. 
And Lydia, Lydia, Lydia… her comeuppance should have been more severe. 

But still; I was here for the Haut Ton drama and The American Duchess has grown on me; I might read her book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Stella wants a cottage beside a bookstore. Sounds like Heaven to me. Spectacles, me too. Reading & spouting facts when you should be quiet, me too. I love this lady. Silvester is like the football team captain. He looks good, smells good, everyone likes him. Turns out there's more to him than that facade. Great couple, great story. Hit home a bit and I loved every second of it. I'd now like to figure out exactly what happened with Giles & Yasmin. I need to re-read The Reluctant Countess.
