This book was nothing like I expected it to be. I wish I had read more about it before starting it because I may have decided to pass on it. I did not expect the author to go the direction she did with the ending which was a nice surprise and made it a bit different from every other book ever written about cheating and betrayal.

In actuality, I minded the ending the least.

What I did mind was the themes in this book. I have come to realize that I don’t like to read a book about cheating or women who intentionally hurt each other; whether in the chase for a man, jealously, or revenge. I don’t need a happy, sappy, romance all the time but I do want a book that doesn’t fall back on the age old “women are crazy” theme. I want a thriller that does something different, something I haven’t read in every other thriller and this was not it.

The book was okay but at the same time I would have been just fine if I hadn’t read it.

What a book!!! This one is a read-in-a-day type of story. It's so unique, the premise for this! And I found the main character Thursday to be fascinating.

Essentially, Thursday's husband has two other wives... Monday and Tuesday. She doesn't know their names, she doesn't know more than scarce details about them. But every week she sees her husband in their Seattle home on Thursdays and Fridays, then he goes back to the other wives in Portland.

And then one day, Thursday finds something that gives her a clue into one of the other wives. And slowly, things begin to unravel. With each thread she pulls, her life comes apart. She thought she was ok with the setup she had, but is she?

This is the type of book that I don't want to say too much about, because I really don't want to spoil it. Let's just say, Thursday's story of how she met her husband and how she entered into this type of marriage was riveting. I felt like I understood it from her perspective more than I thought I would!

But here's the thing--the ending could go either way. For me, it was a 3-star ending on a 5-star book. I saw some who seemed to have the same opinion, and others who completely disagreed and thought this ending blew them out of the water!

It wasn't just that I predicted it, it was that I wanted more out of the end to such a unique and outstanding thriller.

But it didn't detract from how great this book is. Read it! Drop me a line and let me know: did you love the ending or did it fall flat for you?

After reading the synopsis I was ready for a quick paced psychological thriller. The first half of the book was great, a 5 star. I enjoyed the pace and writing style, however the second half was different. It felt like the author needed to wrap the story up quickly so she threw in mental issues and quickly explained it all away. The book could have been redeemed if at the end Regina would have confirmed everything Thursday had thought.
This was by first book by this author and the writing style was good enough I will definitely give another book of hers a try.
