I like this, I just didn’t love it. I think my expectations for Bennett & Kennedy were just too high. They had this flirty annoy each other thing going, but Kennedy’s sniping side character didn’t quite work as well for me when she was front & center for so much of it. There was a lot of humorous banter and I liked Kennedy’s convos with the Baxter guests.

I did like her & Bennett together, but missed the Bayou setting. Almost the entire book is 3 days in Georgia and I would have like more of them getting to know each other. The sex was there (oh boy was it there!) but I just wanted a little more when it came to feeling they really have a chance outside the bedroom… or shower.

Narration:
I liked Jamie Renell & Betsy Moore’s narration. Moore’s higher pitched voice wasn’t what I had imagined Kennedy would sound like - but it ended up working for me.

Unfortunately, there were several times in the book where the wrong narrator was performing a section. Renell reading what was obviously Kennedy’s POV and Moore doing Bennett’s. It really pulled me out of the story.

Kennedy and Bennett had fantastic chemistry that burned right off the pages. I thoroughly enjoyed watching them go head to head in this enemies to lovers romance.

Bennett Baxter is in love with everything Bayou. That includes the swampy water, the alligators, the sticky hot weather, and especially Kennedy Landry. From the moment he laid eyes on the sassy, dressed all in black, says exactly what's on her mind woman, he is hooked. He is so sure she is the one for him, even though most of their conversations are over the phone and mostly antagonistic in nature, something in his gut says she is "the one". He invites, or more like insists, she comes along for a weekend at his parents home in Savannah, GA so #1; they could meet her, and #2; so he could get some one on one time with her, and #3; so his parents could see that his time spent in Louisiana isn't just play time, he means business. What he doesn't account for is for his sassy, brazen woman to stir up feelings he wasn't prepared to feel.

Kennedy Landry is a self assured, confident, sassy woman surrounded by more manly men than she can shake a stick at. She has always assumed her preference in male companionship is a man who could change a tire, fix an engine, and still come home to please her at night. But the moment Bennett Baxter walked into her life he threw those expectations right out the window and her life into a tailspin. She now doesn't know left from right and she isn't entirely sure how to feel about it. With Bennett's shiny shoes, nerdy glasses, and power ties she can't help her attraction to the man who also gets her back hairs up. She shouldn't want to like him as much as she does, so she decides to go with him to Georgia to finally get the man out of her system. A weekend away in his world should do the trick, she just didn't account for enjoying it as much as she does.

Bennett and Kennedy seem like polar opposites, but they are also very similar. It isn't until they are tucked away in another state away from the hustle and familiar that they really find each other and learn how they fit together.

Crazy Rich Cajuns is a warm, enlightening, and full of heat addition to the Boys of Bayou series. I love the close family and togetherness that these stories bring, along with having a passion for what you believe in. It really shines through in this book and Kennedy is the perfect person to bring that passion for the bayou spirit forth.

If you haven't started the series yet what are you waiting for, you will love them all!!

Crazy Rich Cajuns
Boys of the Bayou #4
by Erin Nicholas
Narrated by Jamie Renell & Betsy Moore

I have found a new book boyfriend! Erin Nicholas's 4th book in the Boys of the Bayou doesn't feature a Landry man, but Kennedy, the sister! I love her! Kennedy and Bennett have been dancing around each other in the books, and now we get their story. Kennedy is invited to party with Bennett's family is surely the way to catch her right? What a fun time was had by all! Just when we thought Kennedy would be a fish out of water, she proves herself to be so much more. And Bennett...talk about hot heroes! He had me at "Good morning, Miss Landry". Witty banter, family experiences, just enough drama, laugh out loud moments and the Landry family all left me happy. This series is so much fun, making me want to join in and enjoy all that comes with these Boys of the Bayou!

Jamie Rennell and Betsy Moore are both new to me narrators and I absolutely loved them. Each scene was matched with the perfect voice. Rennell comes in as the sensual Bennett, making us fall in love with him. Moore is fantastic as Kennedy. Just the right amount of rebel and brains. She nails her! These two made a wonderful team, complimenting each other and making a listen that will not be forgotten anytime soon.

I have read, and will continue to read everything that Erin Nicholas writes!

Her stories are amazingly fun rom-coms that are full of heart and love and lots of fun sexy times!

Crazy Rich Cajuns is the perfect "ending" to the Boys of the Bayou series. You really get to see what the Landry's are all about.....family. Being there for each other and knowing exactly what to do to support the person you love in all that they do.....making them better versions of themselves while also learning how to become a better version of yourself.....together.

This was a really good read for me for the most part. I was SO looking forward to Kennedy and Bennett's book, but I felt a little let down. Kennedy and Bennett had great banter still, but when it got to the end of their story I didn't like the direction it takes. In like the last 10% of the book Kennedy decides to completely change her life, and gets mad because Bennett is surprised about it. She's also mad because Bennett expected her to be one way, but that's not fair to him when that side of herself is all she ever showed anybody. Yes, Kennedy should be able to do whatever she wants in life, but expecting your significant other to blindly follow is a little much. The whole situation with Ellie and Leo broke my heart a little. While the situation is made to be a good thing, for me it just wasn't. Leo let Ellie walk all over him, and it was expected that Bennett follow in his footsteps. Not my kind of relationship. Overall, I enjoyed this story, and I liked having updates on all the other characters. The ending was okay, and they do get their HEA. I'm really looking forward to Chase's story!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

It's soooooo worth the wait!

We've all been waiting for Bennett & Kennedy's book since we met Bennett back in Sweet Home Louisiana & got to enjoy Bennett & Kennedy's "conversations" every since!

We all love Ellie & Leo but Teddy & Charlie & the Bennett side of the equation is just as much of a hoot! Love the "surprise".

Wonderful twist with Kennedy and finding out who's the Leo in the relationship.

Another fantastic read!
