The most annoying thing about this book is the page count data is way off. When I reached the end it said I was only 80% into the book — because it has the first two chapters of the next book in there, as regular book pages. Since I’m actually tracking my page count this year, I find this highly annoying (esp since the listing for SO MANY of my books claim that they have a true page count, but almost all of them have been off, some by quite a huge amount). Also because if I had realized last night that I only actually had 3 or 4 pages left to read, not 25% to go, I would’ve finished it then. Kinda ruins the mood and [whatever word I cannot remember] whatnot that got built up.
As for the actual content of the book, it’s a fun read that you can finish in a day (well, if you know you’re actually near the end). There were many parts that made me laugh. I wish the author went more in depth with it and made it a longer book though. The bones were there, but it could’ve been better. I am interested in reading book two (well, maybe I should read those chapters before looking for it). It was definitely nice to actually enjoy one of the many books I got for free or cheap through bookbub. I’ve encountered a LOT of duds while trying to get through them, so having a fun one like this was MUCH appreciated.
