E-ARC revived from NetGalley.

“Everything that happens is part of your wholeness.”

I have read every book by Katie O’Neill and while they are all fantastic and beautiful I think this one holds a particularly special place for me. It twined together the other two books in the series while also tackling its own set of issues.

In this book we follow as the two main characters grow and learn from those around them whom have already had to evolve and adapt in their lives. While there is much upheaval and little sureness in life (both in this book and outside of it), the characters don’t just magically find their ways or where they belong. This book is a process and though the characters’ journeys were not “completed” I feel content to let them continue on and I know they will find their ways.

It's been a while since I read from this series and it felt good to be back in this world. The art has to be one of my favourite parts of K. O'Neill's work. It' just so beautiful!! The story this time around made me misty eyed. I don't remember getting emotional in the other books. I don't think we'll be getting any more stories from this world, at least not with this set of characters. It's bittersweet but their story seems to finished. I hope K. O'Niell releases something soon!

I loved reading this trilogy. It's beautiful visually and I loved that I got a sense of the character's relationship(even side characters) with each other despite having a very small amount of illustrations.
