I’m going to give it four stars because I really enjoyed this. More than I thought I would. I was pretty much hooked since the beginning and really liked each of the characters. I loved the mobster feel of it with the lies and deceit but the buddy-cop part of it where they all still feel like family.

This is to say, it was not without its flaws. It was almost 500 pages and very much character driven. If I were to map out everything that happened, there wouldn’t be much. The world could still be built out more, and I would like some more suspense and tension. More conflict too.

But really, I didn’t want to stop reading. I will very much be reading the next.
