I loved the idea for LITTLE SLICE OF HELL with the mysterious Barista matchmaking monsters with humans but the execution wasn't the best. This is a novella so everything moves really quick and feelings emerge fast but that didn't really bother me. It was more the interactions between Peter and Dante just felt a little off and Dante was slipping over my tolerance line for over the top alpha, possessive characters. Additionally, where was the lube?? I don't usually comment on the mechanics of the sex itself but seriously, they never used lube and I'm supposed to believe Peter, a human, enjoyed Dante's monster (both in type and size) appendages without any issues?

Content Warning: brief recounting of past rape

I feel like this was very interesting and the smut was pretty good. Although the writing wasn't the best I could see the potential that it has so I will continue the series but the other series that this author has are also intriguing to me.

Let’s just start by saying the smut was 4 stars. However, this novella was just too short to have anything close to resemble character development or a solid plot line. Peter and Dante literally fell in “love” in the span of a day and that just wasn’t believable for me. Also, *SPOILER ALERT* HOW DOES PETER-AS A CIS MAN- END UP PREGNANT AT THE END OF THE BOOK??? IT DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE!!! *END OF SPOILERS* That being said, I will continue in this series.
