It was great, i really liked the story. It would have been better if hannah got her revenge on jackson and josh. What happened to Jose was really sad, it must have been terrible for Hannah's mom. Although Finn may not be perfect it was cute how he acted around Hannah. It was an interesting story that had alot of ideas into it.
Ah, poor Hannah. That WOULD be pretty gross to have a famous Hugh Hefner type dad and a sex website bunny mom.
good but i had a feeling that this book would be more deep in a way i guess.
Hannah has mostly mastered the art of blending in, a difficult task when her mom is a former starlet who now spends her days running her own paid website and hosting video chats in her underwear. Hannah's dad, meanwhile, is an aging Hugh Hefner-like figure living in a mansion with his "special girls." Hannah wants to be mostly invisible at high school, and even at her job at the call center for a fast-food chain. But she has a crush on one of her coworkers, and she might want him to notice her. Josh is dreamy, sensitive, drinks coffee, and writes poetry in a notebook he carries with him. Then again, there's also Finn, her other coworker, who is a goofy, funny football player who might appreciate Hannah more than Josh.
This book made me snort out loud on the bus when Hannah described her fear of dating: "...let's just say I worry that before you know it, I'd be walking around with five guys on my arm, calling them 'my boys' and acting like an idiot." Hannah is a realistic character in a realistic novel with many funny passages.

A short, fun read in the vein of Sarah Dessen's romance novels. The premise was interesting and original and the characters were easy to get attached to.
Hannah carries a legacy she really wishes she didn't; her father is a Playboy-esque star with a castle full of young women, and her mother is one of his ex-girls, a model who's done some sordid advertisements. Hannah has had to fly under the radar just to avoid the whispers and stares of people all around her.
Hannah's story is basically a simple one; how to maybe reconnect with her father, understand her mother, and deal with her two male coworkers, Josh and Finn, at the fast food restaraunt she takes orders at. Josh is the perfect guy, sensitive and gorgeous, while Finn talks nonstop and drives Hannah crazy with his irrepressible behavior.
Hannah manages to navigate all these obstacles and more in a fairly short time, but it's done very well. The narrative voice is again a little reminscent of Dessen, fun, sarcastic, doubtful, and real. The dialogue is especially fun; the scenes at Hannah's work are probably the best. I loved her changing feelings, and I loved Finn and his goofiness.
Just a feel-good romance with comedy and some serious stuff thrown in, with enough creativity to make it feel fresh and great.

Such a fun read. Beautiful love story about falling for the ones who you least expect, which I think is completely accurate to high school romance...or everything for that matter.
I loved the semi-Hugh Heffner as her dad subplot, and this was a fast, light, and lovely book!

While I found the plot to be a bit predictable, I had to give this book four stars because I just adored the characters. I love Elizabeth Scott's stories, and I know the girls in my class will love reading this one.
It was a refreshingly short novel. It was intriguing, but really sad at some points. I loved the main character.
After Living Dead Girl, I’m glad to see the romantic side of Scott’s writing shining once again! Not only that, but it’s had the humor and satire that makes a very satisfying read.
As soon as I started reading this book I was hooked. Hannah’s voice captivated me from the start, as well as the story line. I loved the unusual family dynamics that were displayed. It was a highly used theme– embarrassing parents– but it was crafted in a totally new angle. I loved it.
Not to mention the love triangle of Josh, Finn and Hannah. And even though it’s obvious to the reader who Hannah should be going after, it takes her a while to figure it out on her own. Despite having semi-famous parents, I loved the normalcy of Hannah’s character.
Just an overall, funny, quick and charming read! I will happily be adding this to my Elizabeth Scott collection!

I wanted to read something by the [b:Living Dead Girl|2954411|Living Dead Girl|Elizabeth Scott|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1255648770s/2954411.jpg|2983897] author, and the hook (girl is daughter of Hugh Hefner-type and former "special girl" of his) caught my attention. So I picked this up last night to read as I went to bed two hours early, and finished it an hour after I should have been sleeping. This felt a little like a graphic novel - a quick romance to read in a three hour sitting.
Not to say I LOVED it that much, but it did keep me awake. Not nearly as raunchy as might have liked, but that's in keeping with the character. You suspect the romantic twist a mile away, and the characterizations are a little confusing. But I liked it well enough. Definitely a hand-sell.
